Voyager 1 Launched By NASA

What is Voyager 1:

The Voyager 1 is a revolutionary spacecraft launched by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) on September fifth nineteen ninety seven and the key purpose to launch this 722 kilogram space craft was to study the solar system . The great news about this space craft is that it is still under use till the present day and it is the farthest man-made object from in the universe form the earth.

The time when the thought began:

In the early 1960s, a space tour was proposed to study the outer planets. This hurried NASA to begin work on a mission in the early 1970s and to know the facts about it than its age old competitor Russia. This began with fist understand the solar system and the conditions up in the space and then later the plan to design the voyager which could accommodate all the equipment needed to carry out the executable operations and the technique they proposed and brought into implementation to get into to the space and survive the operation was gravity assist technique.

Gravity assists works in this way, it needs a minimum amount of propellant and a shorter transit between the planets, which would make it sustain between the objects for a required time.

Specifications of Voyager 1 as per the design:

The Voyager 1 was built by the Jet Propulsion Laboratory which 16 hydrazine thrusters, three axis stabilization gyroscopes, and few instruments like the sun sensor, Canopus Star Tracker to refer the celestial objects and to locate the earth, a radio antenna pointed towards the Earth. In addition, the voyager 1 was equipped with 11 scientific instruments to study celestial objects as it traveled in the space.
The thing that kept the voyager 1 going:

The Voyager 1 was equipped with three Multi hundred-Watt radioisotope thermoelectric generators where each radioisotope thermoelectric generators has 24 pressed plutonium oxide spheres that when launched the heat produced from the spheres was approximately enough to produce 157 watts of power which in turn generated 470 watts of power from the three radioisotope thermoelectric generators and the power produced by these radioisotope thermoelectric generators will allow operations of voyager 1 to continue until at least 2025.
